Kinnari
Setty

I'm Kinnari Setty, 17 years old, and a senior in high school. I love figurative language, more specifically imagery and metaphors.
I believe, like a brush, a pen (a keyboard, rather) paints the most vivid of pictures. I hope to leave behind my mark on the world with the words I write, painting art through imagination with each page.
Quotes from Works
a sky shined down on her with a graveyard of a million stars, each one reminding her how much she loved life—and how she didn’t fear death.
But hope that melts all the ice
Leaves bright red
Dancing in your heart.
A Graveyard of Stars
What is light without darkness?
Similarly, what is life without death?
In this thought-provoking fiction, the relationship between life and death is portrayed through the life of a little girl, Chiara, and Death itself.
When Death comes across a human that's full of life, it has no choice but to save her. It then embarks on a journey to raise and care for this human.
Chiara, full of questions and curiosity, strives to learn more about the world around her, even if it means going against Death.
Analyzing
A Graveyard of Stars
A Graveyard of Stars is a novel packed with metaphors and figurative language to illustrate the true immortality of life. Often mentioned in the book is the nature of stars and its death. Stars that have died continue to shine in our night sky due to the time its light takes to reach us. This, similar to our lives, expresses how life continues to shine through different forms even after death, let it be through memories, actions, or one's impact on the world.
"a sky shined down on her with a graveyard of a million stars, each one reminding her how much she loved life—and how she didn’t fear death."
This quote taken from page 213 protrays a philosphy on life that A Graveyard of Stars strengthens. To look at living as a means to see beauty in the world, and leave it knowing how infinite life truly is.
Me Musing
A collection of bite sized poems, reflecting my thoughts. This book includes various topics that I muse upon, in retrospect to everyday life. Poems about feelings when taking a test, a world in a papers perspective, how hope keeps us going, the journey of words, and more.
Hope
As strong as fire
Burning its way to what it desires
Making it’s flames grow
Making light so bright
It burns the sky
This fire
It lies
Deep in your heart
It defies gravity
With just a thought
It burns a fire
That never stops
Until ice floods in
Making ash's within
The fire now gone
Your heart turns to stone
As hope is all gone
But the fire leaves a mark
That sprouts a spark
It’s not easy to make
The fire grow again
But hope that melts all the ice
Leaves bright red
Dancing in your heart.
Hope like diamonds
An unbreakable force
That’s so valuable
It burns your heart
With hope.
